January 15-21

Tuesday: OT for Aiden. This is one of the "swings" he wants Chris to build.

Wednesday:Allie. All tuckered out. I really, really need to start taking more pictures of the humans in this house.....

Thursday: Springer needed a picture of Aiden for his new teachers. Isn't he handsome?

 Friday: We've been getting the house ready to sell. Lots of touch up painting and moving furniture around.

Saturday: For Christmas my parents got Aiden a whole bunch of little kits and activities that are wrapped and when he gets bored I get one out for him. (He thinks my parents mail the kits to him, otherwise he'd go looking for them.)

Sunday: Tax Time

Monday: Snow. (Don't worry I was a passenger not the driver.)

January 8-14

Tuesday: I took a picture of this idea as a solution for my curtain-less kitchen window. I even bought supplies but in the end I just didn't like it.....oh well.

Wednesday: All the heavy melting snow caused our gutter to sag. Luckily Chris fixed it up that weekend and it's as good as new.

 Thursday: I caught up on a bunch of magazines that have been sitting in this basket forever.

Friday: The boys and I picked Chris up at the dealership because his car was making a funny noise and needed some love.

Saturday: Aiden. Still in his PJs. Taking stuff apart (a broken dust buster). This is pretty typical.

Sunday: Painting another chair for the kitchen table.

Monday: Another picture of a dog???? I really need to start doing better taking pictures of my human children.

January 1-7

Tuesday: I Pinterest

Wednesday: Constant companion.

Thursday: I was cleaning base boards and found this little guy.

Friday: I wanted to start the year off right. I got to chapter 2. :)

Saturday: Finished writing down some scripture to memorize or just read through. It's in my car for when I'm waiting with nothing to do.

Sunday: Chris loves to see this around...."blind installation" because who wants a blind person installing things. Uggg.

Monday: I wish groceries magically showed up at my house. Wouldn't that be awesome!

December 25-31

Tuesday-When we switched the family room and playroom I lost my mantle to decorate. So this table will have to do. I'm pretty pleased with it though.

Wednesday: Remember our acts of kindness? One of them was to go to a local hospital and tape quarters to vending machines. It was fun :)

Thursday: Another Act of Kindness. Leave a giant tip for a waiter/waitress. A $25 tip on a $20 meal qualifies as giant I believe. (I don't know who Kevin is but Aiden was obsessed with why someone would write a phone number on money)

Friday: Izzy. I don't really know what to say about her. Except she is getting persnickety in her old age.

Saturday: There isn't anything like an icicle hanging off your backup camera to let you know it's cold outside.

Sunday: Wouldn't this be pretty to recreate with fabric and paint?

Monday: Wag more. Bark less. Saw this an the grocery store. I think it's a great motto :)

December 18-24

Tuesday: Buster and Allie. Best Friends Forever.

Wednesday: Every night before we play family game these two can be found with the iPad. Sometimes they play games. Sometimes they watch Netflix. It's nice to see them getting along. 

Thursday: This year for our anniversary Chris and I gave each other the gift of a year of dates. We each had 6 months to take care of. I'm looking forward to each one.

Friday:The quilt I made is finished. It was done before Dave and Linda visited but this was the first time I remembered to snap a picture.

Saturday: My parents arrived for a visit and we promptly took off for Pittsburg to enjoy a nice anniversary dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We used a gift card we had received from Dave and Linda the previous year. The area outside the restaurant had been turned into an ice skating rink, it was fun to watch everyone but too bitterly cold to stay out for long.

Sunday: I have no idea why he is pouting. Crazy kid.

Monday: Our children no longer believe in Santa so all presents get opened Christmas Eve. (We open stockings Christmas morning still.)

Project Life December 11-17

Tuesday- My parents got me a Kitchen Aid for Christmas. A couple days later I used it to make cookies. Yum. I love the mixer, by the way :)

Wednesday- Allie's cast. Poor girl.

Thursday- I finally spent the gift card that I received from my sister-in-law and family for my birthday. A jewelry tree and a tee shirt were just what I wanted.

Friday- I put together some "blessing bags" for the homeless as part of our acts of kindness.

Saturday- Dave and Linda came to visit for an early Christmas. (they arrived on Friday)

Sunday- Every year our neighborhood has everyone put up luminaries along the road and you go out and walk around looking at the neighborhood lights. (It was on Saturday but I didn't have any Sunday pictures so.....)

Monday- Zach had his Winter Band Concert. He had to dress up. He was not happy. So no smile. (I think he was also nervous.)

December 4-10

Told you things would get crazy......

Part of me thought of skipping posting the last 2 months of pictures but this is serving as my journal so that when I can scrapbook I will actually remember what happened. So here it goes.

Tuesday (4th) Some scrapbook organization going on. Moving stuff around and labeling the albums.

Wednesday (5th)- This year I made "mug rugs" for all of the female teachers in my boys lives. (13 mug rugs plus 7 popcorn gifts equals lots of teachers!)

Thursday (6th)-Zach tested for his high brown belt. Next belt is first degree black belt. 

(See how sweaty he is? The test was almost 1.5 hours long and non stop movement)

 Friday (7th)-For our anniversary Dave and Linda sent us an assortment of meat from Omaha Steaks. Yummy.

Saturday (8th) Allie broke her toenail off. Again. Very bloody. So she had a doggie cast and cone for 5 days.

Sunday (9th) More labeling and organizing.

Monday (10th)- After advocating for Aiden we were able to implement lots of accommodations for test taking. "Suddenly" his grades went from Cs and Fs to A+. Amazing! (said very sarcastically since I knew this would happen)
