My MRI

I had my MRI today. It wasn't bad, I just hate all the noise that goes with it. Hopefully when I call my Doctor on Friday she'll have some results for me.

summer cuts

Chris took the dogs for their summer cuts on Tuesday, I picked them up.  I'm seriously considering getting a different groomer. I couldn't get good pictures although I kept trying....they look awful!  The nice thing about going to the groomer at the vet is that when it turned out Buster had an ear infection and infected anal sacs I didn't have to make a separate trip to the vet to get him meds. Maybe bad cuts are worth the convenience of that.....

friends

These two have been spending A LOT of time together since the weather turned nice. I love that both boys have friends in the neighborhood.

family pictures

It has been 4 years since we last had our family portrait done, so on Saturday we went out with Kendra and took pictures for almost 2 hours!  I have big plans for those pictures! I can't wait to see how they turned out.

Bangs

I have bangs!  Bad picture but you get the idea. I can't remember when I last had bangs......

more cards

When I was cleaning out my scrapbook room I made a box of things I had to use before the garage sale or I needed to sell them.  So today I worked on making some VERY simple cards with some of the double-sided cardstock that was in the box.

another IL visit

Chris went back to the U of I again this week. More recruiting stuff. He should totally get paid for this.

Doctor visit

I went to the Doctor for back pain and new meds for my migraines. I came out with pain meds and muscle relaxers for my back, samples of migraine meds, and an order for an MRI.  I go for the MRI on the 30th.  

doggie treat

It seems Izzy and Buster also enjoy having whip cream shot into their mouth. Just like the boys.

yard work

Chris worked a little in the yard today. This is all that is left of one of our trees. The rest of it was dead. So sad :(

Soccer season

Soccer season has begun! Zach and Aiden had their games at the same time so Chris went with Zach and I went with Aiden. Zach had a great game and played well, passed, did well kicking. Aiden on the other hand refused to try. We will continue to go to his games for the rest of the season but I'm not sure that soccer will be his thing.

listening therapy

Aiden is almost two weeks into his listening therapy program. It is going well. Basically he wears these headphones twice a day for 30 minutes each time. He listens to special music that has a wide range of frequencies. His ability to listen while wearing them is great but we aren't noticing much change during other times of the day. We are going to give it some more time. He can have the equipment on loan for another 2 weeks and then we will have to spend approx $200 for the headphones and a CD!!!

Neighborhood

One thing I love about our neighborhood is that they had everyone plant the same tree along the streets so in the spring when you drive through the streets are lined with these pretty white flowering trees. I LOVE it!

Bikes

Now that it is nice out we have gotten into the routine of going outside and riding bikes with the neighbors when Zach gets home from school. I love being outside and watching them play. We are also doing alot of rocket balloons but we have to make sure that Buster is locked up for that because he loves the balloons a little TOO much.

Gas prices

Aiden and I went to Dayton on Tuesday to go to the scrapbook store that I love and to eat at Panera for lunch. While there I had to fill my tank with gas. Isn't this ridiculous? I even filled with mid-grade. Makes me wish I lived someplace where I could walk/ride my bike everywhere. Not that I have a bike. That's another post for another day.

Buster

Buster has been ripping our screens to shreds trying to get our attention to be let in. So we are trying to teach him to jump up on the deck box and wait PATIENTLY to be let in. It's working. Sort of.

guitar hero

Chris found Zach a Guitar Hero-like game for the Mac. He's actually getting pretty good at it.

Ikea

We went to the new Ikea on Saturday. I wish I could have spent many more hours in there looking and planning. But Aiden and I started to feel closed in at the same time and we made a mad dash for the exit. Chris thought the whole thing was quite funny. Me. Not so much.

cocoa and dogs

On Friday I came down with a migraine so I wasn't as diligent about putting groceries away as I should have been. It seems Buster REALLY wanted the cocoa. He spilled it all over the playroom. Chris was out in a neighbors driveway eating pizza and drinking beer. Needless to say he came home to help me clean up, even if he didn't want to. 

playgroup

We went to paint pottery today. Aiden painted a robot. Did I get a picture of that....no but I did get a picture of Miss Zoe tying her shoes for me. She's such a sweetie, although there are some days her mom might disagree about that :)

Done

On our trip I was able to complete 25 cards and 11 layouts. I added journaling today and they are now ready for albums. YAY!

2 wheeler!

Zach is riding a 2 wheeler now!!!!  Just yesterday he was a baby, wasn't he?  

finally Spring?

It was finally nice enough to break out the shorts.  The boys are spending most waking moments outside-finally :)

weighted blanket

My mom made Aiden a weighted blanket to help him sleep. He picked out the fabric and mom did the rest. He loves the blanket. Thanks Mom!

Cleaning up the park

Chris spent his Saturday cleaning up an Urbana park with U of I students. According to him it was a great success. 

When he came home he took the dogs for a walk but they decided that they would rather go for a swim in the neighborhood lake.

Squish Machine

Aiden had OT today with Miss Abby. His favorite obstacle course station is always the squish machine.  If it wasn't a couple hundred dollars I'd buy one for the house :)  Next week on Tuesday he'll be going in to meet Miss Bonnie so he can start his listening program.  Yay!

packed

After scrapbooking in the car on our trip back east worked so well I decided to make a kit for our trip to Illinois.  It's all packed and ready to go, 10 layouts and another 20 cards.  Yippee!

cleaning out

I went through my scrapbook room and am getting rid of things. Lots of odds and ends, the biggest things are my stamps, I haven't used stamps in so long that I am getting rid of most of my wood mounted stamps and inks. I am keeping some clear stamps but I cleared out the majority of my stamping supplies. It's nice to purge every once in a while.
